Happy Friday eve! It’s Easter weekend and we all know that family, while wonderful, can also be stressful. Here are some family-friendly events to get everyone out of the house for a while, and having fun.

Friday

Nothing says Easter like peeps, those sugary, spring-y confections. You’ve probably seen the peeps diorama contest from the Washington Post, but what if you could see that in person and on a much larger scale? In an event you didn’t even know you needed, the Carroll County Arts Council has given you just that. Their annual Peep Show starts Friday and runs 10 a.m.-7 p.m. through April 6. Admission is free, but bring a few extra dollars to buy votes for your favorite. (http://www.carrollcountyartscouncil.org/aa_peepshow.asp)

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is also getting in the Easter spirit. Starting Friday and through the weekend, the Bunny BonanZoo features games, crafts, live entertainment and a non-stop egg hunt. And, of course, the zoo is a great place for a family trip. Bunny BonanZoo runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day and is free with zoo admission. Saturday

Is there a comic book fan in your life? With the recent revival of comic book movies and TV shows, the chances are, the answer is yes. Towson University is hosting the second annual Black Comic Book Mini-Fest on Saturday and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a great comic event, but want to avoid the mass crowds of Comic-Con. Best of all? It’s free! (https://www.facebook.com/events/1557144007931300/)

For the budding astronomer in your midst, the Robinson Nature Center’s Lil’ Stars program lets your kids see the night sky during the day. Each month focuses on a different theme and this month it’s “Stellar Stretches,” using yoga-like movement to learn about the constellations. Pre-registration is encouraged. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. (https://www.howardcountymd.gov/robinsonnaturecenter)

Sunday

Easter Sunday brunch is a tradition. But that doesn’t mean you have to do all the work. The Cinnamon Tree Restaurant in Hunt Valley is offering an Easter Sunday brunch special that includes delicious food, bottomless mimosas (for the adults!) and a “knee high buffee” just for the kids. To really make it an Easter event, there will be a photo ops with the Easter Bunny. $35.95 for adults, $15.95 for kids under 10. (http://www.huntvalleywyndhamgrand.com/dining/special-events/)
