We use research-based methodologies including: Orton-Gillingham; Visualizing and Verbalizing; Story Grammar Marker; Framing Your Thoughts; Touch Math; and Math-U-See.
Glenwood Academy curriculum aligns with the Maryland State Department of Education standards and resembles Howard County Public Schools curriculum. Through technology and special accommodations, we are able to individualize each student’s education plan to meet them where they are, then scaffold up to grade level standards. Progress is monitored by identifying and measuring learning outcomes throughout the year. We offer related arts including technology, music, art, and physical education to ensure students receive a well-rounded education.
