Comments:

The Deer Creek Youth Choir is an auditioned community choir. We give students with a passion for music and love of singing the opportunity to grow in their musical abilities and leadership skills, as they help to better the public and private school music programs of which they are a part. We also have homeschooled students who participate in our choirs as the musical component of their education program.

The Deer Creek Youth Choir is currently open to singers entering grades 2-9 with unchanged treble voices. We offer a friendly vocal placement audition process and strive to make each child’s audition as welcoming and encouraging as possible. It is an opportunity for both the singer and their parent/guardian to meet with our Artistic Director and learn more about our program. Children are asked to sing a prepared song of their choice (and are lead through a variety of other vocal and ear training exercises). Prior experience isn’t required, but a love for singing and working with others is a must!

Auditions are held in June, July and August for the upcoming season, which runs from September to May. Mid-season auditions can also be scheduled in December.
