Happy Friday Eve! Here’s some of the best events happening this weekend:

Friday

Starting at 5 p.m. each Friday, the National Aquarium offers its tickets half price until 9:30 p.m. If the ticket price has made you balk in the past, or you just want a fun way to spend your start to the weekend, dive into the underwater adventure of the National Aquarium. Saturday

Dr. Seuss day has come and gone, but the magic of Dr. Seuss lives on—in musical form! Charm City Players brings classic Dr. Seuss characters to life in Seussical the Musical. There are multiple performances, but the first come this Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at Mercy High School auditorium in Baltimore. For those interested in all things prenatal to preschool, the Columbia Baby Expo is happening 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Owen Brown Community Center in Columbia. There will be informational speakers, product vendors, and child safety information for the parents and face painting, story time and other activities for the kids. Free admission. Sunday

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and Baltimore is ready to start celebrating. The fifth annual Shamrock Shindig is happening 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at Pierce’s Park in the Inner Harbor and it’s perfect for the whole family—unlimited drink wristbands for the adults and Shamrock Alley made just for the kids. Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day, don’t forget to watch the annual parade. It starts at 2 p.m. at the Washington Monument and proceeds down Charles Street towards downtown. Get your kids interested in history with an afternoon exploring primitive technology at the Natural History Society of Maryland. There will be demonstrations and hands-on activities with the primitive tools used for pottery-making, fire-starting, rope-making and spinning wool, among others. Free.
