School’s Out for Summer

Despite the snowstorms and school closings this winter, Maryland schools will not be extending their school year into late June. Public schools in Caroll and Harford counties are out the earliest (June 12), with Baltimore and Howard following (June 16).

AFRAM Festival 50th Anniversary

New Pizzeria

A Baltimore couple is set to open a new pizzeria in Federal Hill this month. Viale Pizza will operate out of the former Paulie Gee’s storefront as its permanent home.

Superintendent Rogers Retires

Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers is retiring effective July 1 after three years with Baltimore County Public Schools to spend more time with her family.
