Weekend Family Fun: Feb. 19-23 features Seinfeld trivia, drop-in art, a Black History Month fact find, paper cutting and the American Craft Show. There’s lots to do around B’more this weekend. Have fun!


In the Stacks: Part 10
In this immersive, choose-your-own-adventure-style theater experience, participants will travel through the gorgeous library and encounter visual art, soundscapes and performers. George Peabody Library, 6-6:45 p.m. Free.

Paint Your Pet Portrait
Sip and eat while you paint a portrait of your beloved pet. All materials and instructions are included. Pre-registration required. Mobtown Brewing Company, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $40.

Jewish Folk Art: Papercutting
Join renowned papercut artist Katherine Fahey as she walks you through a hands-on introduction to this traditional form of Jewish folk art. You can take your design home. Jewish Museum of Maryland, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $10 adults, $4 kids.


Breastfeeding Support Group
Led by a certified lactation specialist, this weekly support group will help you connect and share with other moms on the breastfeeding journey. The Womb Room, 12-1:30 p.m. Free.

Game Night at Pitango Bakery
Happy hour plus game night equals a good time. Sip on discounted drinks as you play a game from Pitango’s selection or one of your own. Pitango Bakery + Cafe, 4-9 p.m. Free.

Punch by Numbers with Elisa Wells
Learn this easy, versatile embroidery technique — and the fascinating history behind it — in a guided paint-by-numbers-style workshop. Walk away with your own colorful design. Creative Alliance, 6-8 p.m. $50.


Black History Month Fact Find

Kids can search for info about exceptional black people in our nation’s history in a scavenger hunt of fun facts throughout the children’s department. Children who find up to three facts and then share them with a friend or librarian will win a prize. Enoch Pratt Free Library, Southeast Anchor Library, 10 a.m. Free.

HoCo Open 2020
This unique, non-juried annual exhibit, which celebrates any and all artists in Howard County, accepts its pieces on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check it out on its last day. Howard County Arts Council, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Free.

American Craft Show
Catch this nationally touring show while it’s in town. You can browse collections from more than 600 esteemed artists selling their jewelry, clothing, furniture and home goods. The Baltimore Convention Center, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $14, $34 for a three-day pass.

Elizabeth Catlett Family Day
Enjoy a special admission price and bring the whole family to explore the works of renowned printmaker and sculptor Elizabeth Catlett. Watch Afro-Latino dance performances and hear storytelling inspired by this amazing artist. Reginald F. Lewis Museum, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. $5.

Naturally Creative
At this recurring drop-off program, your child will unleash their inner artist — and naturalist. From painting with the possum to crafting with critters to creating edible art, your tot will have a blast. Irvine Nature Center, 10 a.m.-noon. $25.

STEM Adventures
You kids will delve into hands-on activities and demonstrations that will challenge their minds and hone their creativity. All learning styles welcome. Kiddie Academy of Locust Point, 2-4 p.m. Free.

Frozen Harbor Music Festival
For two days, 160 artists from around the country flock to Baltimore. Shows take place at 10 venues around the Inner Harbor, from Rams Head Live to Luckies Tavern. Whether you listen to hip-hop or punk rock, you’ll find a show that’s right up your alley at this blockbuster annual event. Through Feb. 23. $125 for a two-day, all-venue pass.

Our 2020 Summer Camp and Activities Fair

Join us for a day of family fun! Our 2020 Summer Camps and Activities Fair features more than 70 day and overnight camps,  food trucks, a petting zoo, DJ, face painting, demonstrations and more. We’ll also be hosting our Cover Kids contest! RSVP here to be entered to win a $250 scholarship to the camp of your choice. (Must check in at the event to win.)
