Father’s Day is when we show appreciation for the fathers and father figures in our lives by celebrating the hard work and care they put in all year long. While the most important thing you can do on Father’s Day is tell Dad how much he means to you, there are also plenty of ways you can show him, and have a great time, too.

Crab Feast

Keep the fathers in your life from getting crabby by signing them up for NSPDK-Gamma’s Father’s Day Crab Feast! The feast will feature all-you-can-eat crabs and an open bar. Proceeds from the feast will go to the efforts of National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. (Gamma Chapter) to support educators and students in Baltimore. Tickets are $100. Father’s Day 5K and 1-Mile Fun Walk

Every father knows the first moment you lay eyes on your baby is special, but not every father gets to hold their little one right away. Support families with infants in a neonatal intensive care unit and keep yours healthy at the same time by participating in the Greater Baltimore Medical Center’s 5K to support its NICU, which helps babies born too small, too sick or too soon. Fishing, hiking and camping are all great ways to bond as a family. The Hollofield Area of Patapsco Valley State Park is a great spot for a picnic, with some of the most iconic riverside views the valley has to offer.
