Learn about the science of sports and take part in fun, unique challenges during this special weekend of activities at Port Discovery Children’s Museum! Visitors can design their own sports mascot, medal or trophy, or try their hand at the batting cage or hot dog race. Saturday is also a $15 Saturday Fun Night, so visitors can come after the event for reduced rates.

Dive Into Banned Books: A Water Ballet of Resistance and Joy

July 26-27, 5-8:30 p.m.

This dance show explores banned books in a truly unique way, using aquatic performance to highlight hotly-contested titles like “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “And Tango Makes Three.” When an angry parent demands that several books be banned, a helpful librarian takes kids through five titles and helps them learn to fight censorship.

Charm City Seafood Fest
