
October is National Arts & Humanities Month, and Baltimore celebrates the occasion every year with the Free Fall Baltimore event series. Art events, including workshops, live performances and festivals, will be held all over the city throughout the month, and all of them are completely free to attend. Open Studio Tour (OST) Weekend
Oct. 10-11, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Baltimore
Get an up-close and personal look at how local artists practice their craft at open studio tours taking place throughout the city! Venues hosting tours include Creative Alliance, the Baltimore Innovation Center and The Mill Centre, as well as several artists’ personal studios. Keur Khaleyi’s Free Fall Festival
Oct. 24, 2:30-7 p.m. | Baltimore
Experience music, dance and cultural traditions from across the African continent at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center! Children and adults alike can take part in African dance and drumming workshops hosted by professional performers, as well as making their own crafts and instruments. There will also be a vendor fair selling traditional crafts and food.

Under the Big Top – A Celebration of Traditional Circus
Oct. 24, 5 p.m. | Baltimore
In addition to visual arts, music and dance, Free Fall Baltimore is also highlighting the circus arts with a performance from students and professional performers from In the Dark Circus Arts. From high-flying acrobats to juggling clowns, this event at Baltimore’s resident circus school is a great way to get a taste of life in the circus!
