Festivals and events with inflatable moon bounces, slides, bouncy castles—you name—are highly popular with families—often these attractions are first on the list of kids’ activities.
Now, they actually have a dedicated festival of their own.
Bounce the Mall, the largest touring inflatable festival, will be in Maryland this weekend Oct. 1-2, and will be making its next stop in Woodbridge, Va. at Potomac Mills Mall from Oct. 8-30.
Kids who love to jump around can visit Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland this weekend—just 25 minutes from Baltimore—and release their energy in eight unique inflatables in time slots of an hour and a half. Register here to secure a spot.
The festival, produced by XL Event Lab, is an expansion of its Big Bounce America project, according to co-founder Grahame Ferguson.
His partner-in-crime Cameron Craig defines the event as a “playful inflatable festival set to turn parking lots across the nation into vivacious and vibrant springy- wonderlands.”
Each inflatable has a different theme, so kids won’t get bored. They can try them all or pick the ones that sound the most fun to them.
Here’s what to expect
Balls in the Mall is one of the eight attractions people can choose from, combining the “jumpy joy” of a bouncy house and the exhilaration of a ball pit. From within the ball pit, tourists can enjoy entertainment from the main stage as well as a talented team of entertainers who will provide exciting music and games.
When entering the Headphone Disco Dome, guests are instantly shifted to an electric nightclub. The igloo-shaped inflatable provides a live DJ and free wireless headphones that allow each individual to choose which music they want to party to. The lighting and special effects within this inflatable encourage guests to let loose and have a great time!
The Sports Slam portion of the tour offers guests an incredible workout by incorporating the most popular sports into one giant competition. The unique sports arena provides goals, nets, hoops, and balls of any size. There are sectioned zones specifically for climbing and a “battle zone” where friends and family can have an intense competition to see who can stay on their podium the longest while a ginormous wrecking ball is coming their way!
For those who love the thrill, the Rapid Race has a 600ft long inflatable obstacle course where friendly competition is at its peak. There is a large assortment of hoops to jump through, walls to climb, and even candy cane poles to walk around. For the grand finale, there will be a large six-lane sneaker-shaped inflatable to mark the finish line.
For the guests who are here to party, there will be a birthday cake-themed circular moonwalk with giant presents, candles, and ball pits! A large selfie station will also be present and will provide giant props to make sure memories are captured. For the little ones, there will be a smaller bouncy castle specifically made for the younger crowd.
The event will also have a “Bounce Cafe” featuring food trucks for adults to sit and relax after a tiring day with the kiddos.
