For many families living in and around Baltimore City, the Baltimore Farmers Market has long been a staple of spring and summer.

As Maryland’s largest producers-only market—meaning vendors can only sell what they themselves have produced—it’s a popular stop for community members far and wide.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts announced the market will open for its 48th season 7 a.m. this Sunday, beginning with Quiet Shopping Hours from through 9 a.m. This is a time where shoppers who enjoy a more sensory-friendly experience can take part in the market.

From then on, the market will come to life with music, buskers, barkers and more that make it a creative, communal space that spans culture and socioeconomic status.

Fresh-made food; artisans and farmers offering fruit, vegetables and other products; and street performers give the market a festival feel and offer lots of new sights, sounds and learning opportunities for kids.

Not every vendor will be at the market each week, so check farmersmarketbaltimore.org/vendors to find your favorites, see what’s new and plan a visit.
