Love is in the air … and at the library and the zoo and so many other places in our community.

Kids

Heart String Art
Drop in to your local Home Depot to make a craft. Kids create a heart from string, nails and paint as well as receive a certificate and their very own Home Depot workshop apron. Home Depot (any location), Feb. 1, 9 a.m.-noon. Free. homedepot.com

Hearts and Love Story Time

Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Valentine’s Day Crafts

Bee Nature’s Valentine
People need not be the only recipients of our love this month — kids can share their love for the natural world in this seed-paper Valentine workshop. Psycho Killers at Union Craft Brewing

Wine & Dinosaurs
Explore the Maryland Science Center’s dinosaur displays after dark with wine in hand. At each tasting station, participants view the wine they’re about to sample under a microscope. That’s a STEM project that we can drink to. Maryland Science Center, Feb. 14, 7 to 9 p.m. $40. mdsci.org

Valentine’s Day Couples’ Yoga
After your night out, refresh yourself with a 60-minute couples’ yoga class at the zoo. Participants learn new partner yoga poses and have an opportunity to meet penguin ambassadors. The Maryland
