Cooking is more than a life skill — it’s a gateway to confidence, creativity and connection. At Young Chefs Academy (YCA), we believe every child deserves the chance to discover the magic of the kitchen in a space that is empowering, inclusive and joy-filled. YCA was created to inspire the next generation of young chefs to stir boldly, taste bravely and dream big.
Young Chefs Academy of Bel Air has classes and events for all skill levels from beginner to the experienced chef that will inspire the art of cooking and the science of baking. Our curriculum is developed and tested by our YCA team of expert chefs, providing fun challenges and competitions with all new recipes, techniques and subject matter every week!
Young Chefs Academy offers a wide range of classes and events, such as weekly membership classes, camps, birthday parties, specialty seasonal workshops, field trips, Scout and private events and even adult classes for the grown-ups. Our KinderCooks classes range from ages 4 to 7.
Junior Chef classes range from age 7 and older, with our Senior class allowing the most experienced students to learn advanced skills to aid in their culinary pursuits. The membership classes also allow students to participate in our Master Chef program, which provides a chef coat with the student’s name embroidered, and in which students earn patches to showcase as they move through the curriculum.
Our interactive camps offer students opportunities to learn foundational cooking techniques while building independence, teamwork and heathy habits. Camps are offered during the summer, and also all school year during early dismissals, holiday school closures and seasonal fall, winter and spring breaks.
