Two annual festivals have new dates for 2026. Enjoy family tunes at Charm City Live, now on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend (Sept. 5). Then, book it over to Waverly Main Street Sept. 19-20 to celebrate your love of reading with the Baltimore Book Festival.
School Closing
All public schools in Maryland will be closed Sept. 7 for Labor Day. Look out for family fun, such as entry for just $1 at the National Museum of Railroad History & Innovation.
National Friendship Month
It’s National Friendship Month! Make new friends at events like The Arc Baltimore’s Fall Family Fun Fest. Kids can enjoy games, crafts and other activities for all ages Sept. 20.
Comic Con for Kids
Comic Con returns to Baltimore Sept. 25-27, offering kids 10 and younger free admission with a paid adult. Kid cosplayers can enter to win the Children’s Cosplay Contest or make new friends in the Children’s Cosplay Showcase.
25 Years Since 9/11
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will have a special program next month (Oct. 15-18) to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 national tragedy, anchored by John Adams’ Pulitzer Prize -winning “On the Transmigration of Souls.”
