We didn’t meant to leave out the rest of the family, but Weekend Family Fun for May 7-10 is all about Mother’s Day. As it should be. OK, OK, we did give you a few other options for the rest of the week and we do include some links to any day virtual fun for the families who need something new for their routines. But this weekend, it’s all about you, moms. Happy Mother’s Day!

Get Outdoors!

So you’ve probably heard that state parks are now open. Golf courses are, too. And those of you who have a boat—happy sailing! Restrictions on outdoor activities because of the coronavirus pandemic have been lifted. State parks are open, as well as some local parks. Check websites before going to any park; likewise take a peek at the weather forecast. Saturday will be a brisk one, but Sunday promises to be sunny. Don’t know if there are any parks near you? Here’s the list of state parks.

Coffee with Baby Goats

Pour yourself a cuppa on Saturday and get ready to share your morning with some local fauna, specifically the baby goats at Clark’s Elioak Farm in Ellicott City. OK, you can’t go there yet, but they will be streaming the goat antics to you as you sip and chill. We heard rumor of baby goat twins, too. Cuteness abounds at 10 a.m. from their Facebook page. You also can check their website for more details. clarklandfarm.com

DJ Kopec’s Throwback Prom

DJ Kopec is back on Saturday night, spinning the tunes and shouting out local rescue workers, teachers and other heroes. Expect oldies, and definitely goodies in this prom-inspired night of tunes that is also kid-friendly. Jam out Saturday, 7-9 p.m., on DJ Kopec’s Facebook page.
