Take a Deep-Sea Dive

What better time to experience the marine life than after a long week of teleworking and online school? The National Aquarium is having a half-off Friday night special, offering an opportunity for more families to learn about our fish friends! Tickets are available for purchase online or on-site. Friday, Sept. 11. 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. $19.95.

Take a Nature Break

Break out your comfy shoes and curiosity for a fun-filled guided hike that includes nature-based play hosted by the Carrie Murray Nature Center. Don’t miss out on the animal feeding immediately following the hike. Saturday, Sept. 12. from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Free. Registration required.

Ride the Railway

Visit the B&O Railroad Museum and take a round trip ride on the first mile of commercial railroad in the United States. After hopping off the train, stop and learn about first responders and the technology they use to help us when we need them most. Saturday, Sept. 12. 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. $23-$30 adults, $14-$18 children.

Spend Time with Heroes

Join a virtual Q and A with the superhero group Teen Titans, sing along with the Superhero girls or build the Batmobile! There are many opportunities for virtual fun with your DC hero favorites this weekend on the DC FanDome official site. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13. 1:00 p.m. Free.

Get Arts-and-Crafty

The Baltimore Museum of Art has provided a myriad of fun crafts for adults and children alike based on the art displayed in the museum. Although you can’t visit the art in person, choose a project and grab the instructions off the Baltimore Museum of Art’s website to fill your Sunday with some history and be inspired by the prompts! Sunday, Sept. 13. All day. Free.

Let the Music Move You

If you’re looking for a relaxing end to your weekend, take your family dinner to-go and and spread a blanket out at Sherwood Gardens to enjoy a special performance by Glen Swartz. There’s nothing like some fresh air and good music to set the tone for a new week. Sunday, Sept. 13. 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Free.
