The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a full day of immersive cultural activities! In addition to seeing all their favorite animals, zoo visitors can see live performances of Mexican and Panamanian folk dance and learn about the zoo’s efforts to preserve the critically endangered Panamanian Golden Frog.

Science Arcade

For one day only, the Maryland Science Center is transforming into an educational arcade! Attendees can make their own pinball game, imagine themselves as an 8-bit character through pixel art, play fun games at the museum and more. It’s a perfect event for any young gamer with an interest in science.

Chrysalis Kids: Sunnyland Band

Take a kid-friendly look at American folk music and folktales at this free family concert. Kids can join the Sunnyland Band by playing a variety of instruments available on-site! Gates for the concert open early so kids can play in the park beforehand.
