8:00 –10:00 pm
All ages, registration required
Gemini, Cancer and Leo are prominent
in June, bringing sights of star clusters
of an open or “Galactic” sort.
Leo has galaxies galore with three
visible in one eyepiece field, Come
out and see the stars through an 18”
telescope hear some stellar lore and
learn a little about light pollution, how
it affects the animals at Patuxent, and
what you can do to help reduce it and
to regain darker skies for the next
generation. We will decide on the 3rd
about what night will be the best for
star viewing.
