Maryland Astronaut Tom Jones Talks Moon Landing

Astronaut returns to Middle River to discuss historic moon landing by Apollo astronauts. The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum’s 2019 Free Speaker Series on Monday, July 1 at 7pm presents Dr. Thomas Jones, retired astronaut, scientist and author talking on the Apollo 11 moon mission, “One Giant Leap.” and how the moon landing was achieved, what challenges were overcome, and how the film version of Apollo 11 in “First Man” differed from reality. This evening with Jones is geared to 6th grade through adults. The Free Speaker Series takes place in the Lockheed Martin auditorium, 2323 Eastern Blvd in Middle River.
