“Getting Ready for the Harvest” Workshop

Join the Foodways Historians to learn some of the techniques used by Benjamin Banneker, his neighbors, and the residents of the Patapsco alley to preserve a portion of the autumn harvest. “Putting food bye” could include drying, pickling, smoking, salting and even sugaring. Get ready for the harvest, and take home the foods you prepare and their recipes. Adults and children 10 and older [accompanied by an adult]. $25/person.
