Baltimore County Public Libraries will have a limited number of COVID-19 rapid tests available for pickup this weekend.

Tests will be available on Friday, Jan. 21, at the Pikesville branch only and on Saturday at all other branches. Distribution will begin at 9 a.m. on both days.

Each person will receive two boxes (one test per box) of Flowflex COVID-19 rapid tests while supplies last. About 900 tests are available at each branch.

“There were lines at each branch before 9 a.m. when tests were distributed last week, and we expect the same tomorrow and Saturday,” notes Erica Palmisano, the library’s media relations representative.

Staff recommend visiting the library after receiving the allotted tests and signing up for a library borrower’s card.

All late fees were abolished last July, and all overdue payments forgiven, meaning all current cards will also be in good standing, Palmisano notes.
