December finds Charm City Ballet twirling with activity: The dance company is staging its original, full-length ballet, “A Christmas Carol,” Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts in Owings Mills.

In addition to rehearsing for the big show, CCB recently moved to a new location on Lake Front Drive in Cockeysville. The school offers classes in ballet, pointe, tap, creative movement and body maintenance for dancers aged 3 to adult. Sessions last seven weeks and the next session starts after the New Year.
Founders Rebecca Friedman and Peter Commander are 2009 Goucher College graduates who studied in and peformed with the school’s well regarded dance department. After graduation, they formed CCB with the goal of bringing together dancers from all walks of life.
The company first performed “A Christmas Carol” in 2015.
The ballet will be performed at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $24 in advance and $26 at the door for adults; $18 in advance and $20 at the door for children and students.
