MD Home & Garden Show
Stop by the Maryland Home & Garden Show to see gorgeous gardens, more than 100 crafters and 300 home-improvement exhibits. Listen to a presentation from Laura Dowling, chief florist for the Obama White House from 2009 to 2015, and get a chance to win free flowers as part of the show’s hourly bouquet giveaway. Other highlights include a family-friendly petting zoo, crash courses in décor and wine tastings.

Peter and the Wolf
Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf tells the engaging children’s tale of brave young Peter, his grumpy grandfather, a hungry wolf, determined hunters, a careless duck and a helpful bird. WYPR’s Jonathan Palevsky (English) and actor/director Carlos Espinal (Spanish) narrate.

The Animated Orchestra
Part of the BSO’s Family Concerts series, The Animated Orchestra is a musical performance designed for young audiences. Experience the tale of a playful ferret as he causes chaos at an old instrument shop. Before the concert, the BSO will feature a variety of kid-friendly musical activities.

Brain sPARK
At this fantastic Park School-sponsored event, 80 presenters offer 50 sessions on everything from politics and the Pulitzer Prize to sports and “sPARK Tank,” Park’s take on the startup show. Notable speakers include Christopher Rothko (son of Mark Rothko), Elle columnist Eric Thomas and Senator Ben Cardin, among many others.
