B’More Social June 17-19

This weekend is Father’s Day, so make sure you plan something nice for Dad. And bonus: the weather should be not-rainy!

Once a month this summer, the Waterfront Partnership is hosting its Summer Socials and this month features local cover band Thunderball. Come for the music, stay for the Pizza di Joey and Dunkin Donuts food trucks—and Charmery ice cream for dessert! A perfect, family-friendly way to wind down your week. Free. 5-8 p.m. at West Shore Park

There’s nothing quite like live theater. Introduce your kids to the joys of another world coming to life before them with Charm City Players’ newest production, “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.” Let the Disney magic whisk you away “under the sea” with Ariel and her friends. Tickets: $15. 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays, June 18-July 17 at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Auditorium at Mercy High School.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library system may be more than 125 years old, but they’re not behind the times. The second annual PrattCon, the local pop culture convention, will be highlighting video games and animation. With classes, a gaming truck, life-sized Pac-man, cosplay and costume contests and special guests, your Saturday is sure to fly by. Free. 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Southeast Anchor Branch of Enoch Pratt Free Library.

Looking to instill the importance of health and fitness into your young ones? The Get Moving: Fitness is Fun Festival at Tabba Tabba Tight Knit Coffee and Dessert Bar is a good place to start. The day will include games, activities, healthy snacks and an interactive performance from Beans-N-Frank, a Baltimore hip-hop edutainment duo. Don’t forget your dancing shoes for the dance contests! Registration: $5. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Tabba Tabba Tight Knit Coffee and Dessert Bar in Baltimore.

This Sunday is Father’s Day and for all the football fan families, the Ravens are hosting a Family Movie Night on the Ravens field. Along with a showing of “Minions,” the evening will include tours of the locker rooms, a Q&A with Ravens players, the Ravens pep band, an inflatable bounce house and more! Tickets: $10. Starts at 6 p.m. at M&T Stadium.

If you’d rather have a bit more grown-up Father’s Day, comedian Bill Burr’s stand-up at Royal Farms Arena might be the event for you. Love him or hate him (or love to hate him), Burr’s distinctive comedic voice will have you laughing (and potentially cringing) all night long. Tickets: $26-62. 7:30 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena.
