Movie and Music: It’s a Wonderful Life
Every time you watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” an angel gets its wings and this time around, you’ll get to see it with a live score, played for you by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The Nutcracker
The renowned Moscow Ballet presents the Christmas classic.

Kids Night Out
Need an evening away from the kids to get that last-minute shopping done? Drop them off at Lake Roland for nature crafts, gingerbread houses and other holiday activities.

 A Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas
Watch the beloved animated holiday film with a live jazz performance in this creative and festive show featuring the Eric Byrd Trio. Perfect for both the kids and jazz aficionados in the family.

The Ugly Sweater Run 5K
A family that runs together, stays together, right? Well, this might just be the merriest run of the year. Don ye now the weirdest, ugliest holiday sweaters you can find and take a little-over-3-mile jaunt around Baltimore to show it off (and admire others’ choices). If you need bonus incentive, registration comes with an ugly sweater knit hat. Even better? Kids under 5 are free!
Registration: $50. 9 a.m. at Rash Field.

Smore’s, Stars & the Winter Solstice
Gather around the campfire to celebrate the longest nights of the year with s’mores, stars, holiday folklore and sing-a-longs.
Tickets: $3. Dec. 17-18 in Lake Roland.

Christmas for Kids
This family-friendly holiday program for kids with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society features an all-new story with Pepito the Clown and a special visit from Santa.
11 a.m. at Goucher College Kraushaar Auditorium.

Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar Closes
This is your last chance for local produce, crafts, foods and more from the state’s largest producer-only market.
Free. 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday and Saratoga.

Event: Holiday Open House
Johnny’s hosts an afternoon of festive fun including pictures with Santa, free hot chocolate and cookies and live caroling.

Chanukah at Foundry Row
Get a head start on your Chanukah celebration with this fun day-long event, part of the JCC’s Chanukahpalooza. Activities include singalongs, story time, face painting, live music, dreidel spinning, candlemaking and more!
