Baltimore City Public Pools Reopen for the Season

It’s finally swim season again!

While you’re enjoying the sunny weather with your family, head to these Baltimore City pools if you need to cool off. Four pools opened for the Memorial Day holiday and weekends through June 15.

All neighborhood public pools will be open for full service beginning Thursday, June 16. A Baltimore City Recreation and Parks season kickoff event will be held at the newly-renovated Druid Hill Park Pool at 800 Wyman Park Drive on Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m.

Baltimore City Mayor Brandon M. Scott shared his excitement ahead of the event.

“The Druid Hill Park Pool is the most utilized park pool in the city, so seeing it fully renovated and accessible for swimmers of all levels is truly rewarding,” he says in a news release.

Neighborhood pools are free for guests. A full schedule for pool openings can be found below:

 

Patterson, Roosevelt, Clifton and Riverside Park – open 11 a.m. weekends through June 15; open seven days a week from June 16 through Sept. 5.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Note: The Cherry Hill Splash Park reopening will coincide with the the Middle Branch Fitness and Wellness Center mid-summer. Date TBA.

 

June 16

 

City neighborhood pools and splash pads – open 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16; open Mondays through Saturdays through Aug. 21.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Note: Indoor pools will be open for aquatic programming only this summer.

Baltimore City Recreation and Parks is also looking for lifeguards. Apply online and visit bcrp.baltimorecity.gov/aquatics for more information.
