In addition to adventure sports, team sports, invention, wildlife exploration and overnight experiences with more than 50 activities—highlighted in our first 2022 Summer Camp Directory Spotlights—here are another five camps that will challenge, stimulate and create bonds of friendship this summer.
Summer at Friends, a school-based camp from Friends School Baltimore, offers co-ed day, fine arts and creative technology experiences.
Brother-sister Jewish overnight camps Airy (for boys) and Louise (for girls) provide generational cultural activities as well as a fresh array of modern fun such as go karts, parkour, woodworking and digital photography. Camp Louise will celebrate its 100th anniversary this summer and Camp Airy will celebrate its 100 years in 2024.
Christ-centered traits are developed through a traditional overnight camp at Shepherd’s Spring Outdoor Ministry Camp. New this year are day camps on select weeks and an overnight Global Citizen camp focused on adventure and learning about other cultures.
Special needs campers will find inclusive programming at We Rock the Spectrum to help with strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, positive behavior modification, social interactions and self-care skills.
