Prom Closet Open on April 13

Last month, all 19 Baltimore County Public Library branches collected formal wear for teens who would like to attend their school dances, but might not have the money to purchase prom attire.

The Prom Closet

The collection exceeded expectation: More than 900 dresses, in sizes 0 to 20, were donated as well as more than 200 suits. Other items collected include shoes, ties, jewelry, clutches, wraps and other accessories needed to put together a stylish and prom-worthy look.

All of the items have been gathered in a Prom Closet at the Owings Mills Branch. The Prom Closet will be open to teens on Saturday, April 13, from 1-4 p.m. All items are free of charge.

The Owings Mills Branch is at 10302 Grand Central Ave.

Thank you to BCPL for this great community service! Happy prom season, everyone.
