B’More Social July 22-24 Pride, Restaurant Week, Baby Beats and more!

It’s going to be a busy weekend, Baltimore. Start hydrating now.

Baltimore Restaurant Week

This is the week where restaurants all over the city are offering fixed price, delicious meals. Whether that two-course lunch for under $20 is speaking to you, or the three-course under-$35 dinners are calling your name, make sure you go in hungry. July 22-31, citywide.

Pokémon Mornings at the Zoo

If your kids have hopped on the Pokémon GO train, treat them this weekend to a trip to the Maryland Zoo. Between 10 and 11 a.m. Thursday-Saturday mornings, the zoo will put out Pokémon lures in the app, and those in the zoo can catch ’em all to their hearts delight. Free with zoo admission. 10-11 a.m. at Maryland Zoo.

Baltimore Pride

It’s finally Pride weekend in Baltimore! Check out the great parade and block party on Saturday afternoon in Mount Vernon, or head to Druid Hill Park on Sunday for the festival. Fall in love with love and let your rainbow flag fly for the 41st year of Baltimore Pride. Free. Parade: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Vernon; Festival: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at Druid Hill Park

Maryland German Festival

Once you’ve rainbow-ed yourself out, how about some beer and bratwurst? The annual celebration of German heritage is happening this weekend. Bonus: Admission is free if you come dressed in full tracht. Tickets: $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, free for kids 12 and under. July 23-24 at Maryland State Fair Grounds in Timonium.

The Charmery Third Anniversary

Beloved Hampden ice cream shop The Charmery is turning 3! And they’re celebrating in style—90’s hip-hop/R&B style, that is. Stop by for some sweet jams, break-dancing, 90’s karaoke and eight brand new flavors. And the best part: a free baby scoop of ice cream with each purchase. Free. 12-11 p.m. at The Charmery.

Baby Beats! With Max and Root

Get ready to rock out the baby way. This is a concert meant just for the little ones (ages 0-6), full of beats, rhythm, movement and human beatboxing. Kids are even encouraged to move around and interact with performers Max and Root. Tickets: $5. 10 a.m. at the Strand Theater Company, 5426 Harford Road in Baltimore.

Ice Cream & 80’s at Power Plant Live!

This Sunday, Power Plant Live! is hosting a family fun event perfect for the hot weather, with an ice cream bar, face-painting, hula hoops, bubbles and a bounce house. Plus, live music of the 80s from Starcrush. Free. 1-5 p.m. at Power Plant Live!
