A living history destination that spans the 18th through the early 20th centuries. One of the oldest, most intact mill villages in Maryland, Jerusalem is located in Harford County along the Little Gunpowder Falls. Annual events include a summer evening concert series, a Vintage 1800s Baseball series, a Civil War raid reenactment in June, and a Colonial Craftsmen Weekend in October.
The weekend living history program focuses on 18th century rural life. On Sundays from 1-4 p.m., interpreters in period attire demonstrate the trades of blacksmithing and woodworking, as well as sustenance skills such as cooking, gardening, sewing, and spinning. (Updated Jan. 2011)
