The mission of the Baltimore Museum of Industry is to collect, preserve, and
interpret the industrial and technological heritage of the Baltimore region for
the public, by presenting educational programs and exhibits that explore the
stories of Maryland's industries and the people who created and worked in them.

Family Digital Ipod Tours
Museum Hours, Free with general admission. New Kids' Track coming in late 2010!
The tours include over 50 tracks divided into four categories:
1. Gil Sandler Tour: A compilation of several of Gil Sandler’s weekly WYPR
broadcast entitled “Baltimore Stories.”
2. Helen Bentley Video Tour: Derived from Helen Bentley’s 1950’s
television show “A Port That Built a City and State” which, like the Gil
Sandler tracks, is a part of the BMI Collection.
3. Baltimore Voices Tour: A collection of histories from the Jewish Museum of
Maryland, the Library of Congress, and the collection at the BMI.
4. The General Museum Tour: Consists of clips recorded at the BMI by some
BMI educators as well as local historians and BMI volunteers.
